SOME COMMON QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Q.    If I measure the spine of a binder is that the capacity?
A.    No - because the spine always has to be bigger than the capacity because you have the top and base of the mechanism to take account of, E-mail us and we will send you a handy measuring device.
Q.    I have measured the height of the mechanism is this right?
A.    Not necessarily, Dees and arches measure to the beginning of the curve and rings across the width.
Q.    I have a 25mm binder and a 50mm binder, are the front covers the same size?
A.    No, because as the capacity goes up so the width of the mechanism increases i.e. the total width of a 25mm mechanism and A4 paper is   - 32mm for the mechanism and approximately 200mm (210mm less the position of the punched holes) 232mm plus a tabbed divider allowance.
The total width of a 50mm mechanism and A4 paper is 55mm plus approximately 200mm again - 255mm plus a tabbed divider allowance making the front cover much bigger.
Q.    I asked for an A4 binder but my page pockets stick out of the end.
A.    We will make a binder to take A4 paper plus a set of dividers - a total of 222mm a page pocket is normally 230mm wide so we need to know!
Q.    I have ordered binders with a clear pocket on the front cover and spine to put our printed sheets in at a later date what size should they be?
A.    Let us put the sheets in at the time of manufacture, we will do it more cheaply and efficiently than you.
